Ultra-thin concrete and curved, cantilevered form come together to give the Grasshopper bench—designed by Makoto Fukuda for Escofet—a smooth, dynamic and impossibly light appearance. Its shape is deliberately incomplete, gently closing at one end and opening up at the other to make a sculptural statement both solo and as a companion to the Grasshopper table.
