Morro Bay

How can resilient design for the future address reparative actions for past and current generations? This singular, critically important question captures the ambitious spirit and multidimensional challenge at the heart of Xtreme LA Morro Bay.

An energetic and thought-provoking design charrette, 2024’s Xtreme LA challenge combines elements of restorative land justice, the elevation of Indigenous cultures and Traditional Ecological Knowledge, vulnerable habitat restoration, and climate resilient design—some of the most compelling opportunities and pressing challenges currently facing landscape architects.

Now in its 10th year, Xtreme LA, hosted by Landscape Forms in partnership with the Landscape Architecture Foundation, brings together seasoned industry leaders with young professionals and students from across the country to collaborate and conceptualize projects that leave a lasting, positive impact on the community. The event becomes a dynamic platform, inspiring creative thinking and cultivating connections.
