Landscape Forms, Inc., North America’s leading designer and manufacturer of high-design site furniture, structure, lighting, and accessories, is excited to announce David L. Jackson has been named President & Chief Executive Officer of Landscape Forms effective July 1, 2025.  He succeeds Marjorie K. Simmons, who will assist with the transition through December 2025 and return to the Board of Directors as Chair on January 1, 2026, after serving as CEO & President for the past 6 years.  During her tenure, the company nearly doubled in annual revenue, creating significant opportunities for its team members.

Marjorie Simmons explains, “since 2019 we have substantially grown our core business while also acquiring and successfully integrating Loll Designs and Summit Furniture.  We have launched over 75 new products while expanding our offerings in the residential and hospitality markets and our footprint in the U.S., U.K., and Europe.  We achieved a new record by winning over 50 design awards in 2024, a testament to our innovative design and high-quality craftsmanship.  Throughout this period of dynamic growth, Landscape Forms has maintained a very high level of team member engagement, and we continue to be recognized as a Great Place to Work for the 7th straight year.  While an environmentally conscious company since inception, Landscape Forms has made major strides with respect to sustainability and now have dedicated sustainability leadership to ensure we continue to lead the industry in this area.  But the most exciting development is breaking ground on our new 300,000 sf manufacturing facility in Kalamazoo which is going to be transformative on many levels for the company, our team, and the community.  I’m very proud of all that our team has accomplished during my time as CEO and I look forward to continuing to serve the company as I return to the Board of Directors.

David Jackson, Landscape Forms’ fifth CEO since its founding in 1969, continues a company tradition of excellence in leadership.  Mr. Jackson previously served as Chief Executive Officer at M3 Glass Technologies, a leading manufacturer of made-to-order, decorative architectural glass products and The Jobe’s Company, an innovative manufacturer of organic and eco-friendly gardening products.

About David L. Jackson

Mr. Jackson is an accomplished CEO with over 20 years of experience in the consumer goods and building materials manufacturing sectors. He has a proven history of inspiring growth, improving operations, and leading M&A activities to a successful conclusion. His passion lies in developing great teams that deliver exceptional products and services to the customer.  In 7 years as CEO of M3 Glass Technologies, the business more than doubled through a combination of organic growth initiatives and strategic acquisitions, providing customers with a comprehensive product solution.  At Jobe’s Company, Mr. Jackson consolidated business units, launched new organic and eco-friendly product lines, and implemented Lean Manufacturing principles, resulting in increased growth and operational efficiency. In addition, he also has experience in sourcing international product programs.

Mr. Jackson is a graduate of The University of Texas with a degree in Marketing from the McCombs College of Business and has been a member of the Young President Organization for over 12 years.

About Marjorie K. Simmons

Ms. Simmons began her career as a CPA at Ernst & Young, went on to become Chief Financial Officer and Director of Business Development for an architectural design firm, and in 1998 co-founded DSA Architects. Recognized in 2003 as one of the fastest growing A/E firms in the nation, DSA was acquired by SHW Group, a national design firm. She was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of SHW Group in 2010.  Her appointment came at a time when the firm had revenue of nearly $60 million, over 300 employees in 8 offices nationwide, and international projects in Central America, the Middle East and China.  In 2014, SHW Group was acquired by Stantec, a global design firm with 22,000 employees in over 400 locations worldwide. At Stantec, Ms. Simmons served as a Senior Vice President and Business Leader in the Buildings Group.

Prior to being appointed President & CEO in 2019, she served Landscape Forms as a Board Member and Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee starting in 2014.  A graduate of Michigan State University, Eli Broad College of Business, Ms. Simmons also studied Marketing, Labor Relations and Communications at Purdue University. In addition to her role as CEO of Landscape Forms, she is a member of the board of directors for FEMA Corporation and EG Workforce Solutions as well as has served on several non-profit boards including Community in Schools of Kalamazoo, The Landscape Architecture Foundation, Southwest Michigan First and Business Leaders for Michigan.  Ms. Simmons is passionate about design, empowering people and leading change.
