Projects: Brooklyn Academy of Music

Ken Smith is a celebrated landscape architect and principal of Ken Smith Landscape Architecture in New York City. He is well known for his work on the Roof Garden of New York's Museum of Modern Art, the World One project in Mumbai, India, and the 1,300-acre Orange County Great Park in Orange County, California. He recently completed design of the public plaza at BAM Fisher, a new theater at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

IBI Group • Gruzen Samton is an architecture, planning, interior design, and systems engineering firm based in New York City and Alexandria, VA. In 75 years of practice the firm has received more than 100 awards, including the 2006 Grand Prize in the NYC Green Building Competition for the 1.5 million-sq. ft. EPA headquarters. Landscape architecture projects include Chinatown, Boston MA; King Street Reconstruction, Kitchener, Ontario Canada; and Shams Central Park and Public Landscapes, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

SHoP is a Manhattan-based firm offering architecture, interior design and planning services. Founded by five principals in 1996, it is now an office of over one hundred and seventy with a sister firm, SC | SHoP Construction that provides construction management, BIM/VDC and building envelope consulting. Landor is a branding creation and strategy company founded in 1941 by Walter Landor, widely regarded the father of branding. The firm, renamed Landor Associates, has offices in Asia, Europe, and South America, and has earned acclaim for creating some of the world’s strongest brands including FedEx, BMW, BP, Citi, KFC, JAL, PepsiCo and the new logo for the World Trade Center. Long a specialist in packaging design, the company recently re-entered the product design arena where its litter receptacle designed for the Central Park Conservancy earned a 2014 Cannes Lion product award.
