Since 2006 Landscape Forms has been the exclusive representative of Santa & Cole Urban Elements in North America. This distinguished collection of outdoor furnishings includes benches, bike racks, planters and low fencing dividers created by international designers and brought to market by the Barcelona-based company that is a recipient of Spain’s National Design Award. Landscape Forms continues to add Santa & Cole products as they become available and is now pleased to announce the addition of three new products and several options for existing products to the Urban Elements collection. Like other Santa & Cole designs, these are minimal, contemporary, elegant and sometimes droll. They expand Landscape Forms’ global perspective on public space and bring a European sensibility and international spirit to Landscape Forms’ extensive offering of integrated site furniture collections for creating a sense of place.
Trapecio is seating in rare form. This 17-foot long seating element is comprised of two massive laminated Alaska Yellow Cedar beams joined by slim-profile steel rectilinear brackets and feet. Seat and back are offset in an intriguing geometry that invites sitters to perch on either one. A playful addition to the city scene, Trapecio offers new possibilities in urban leisure.
Tactil is a bike rack composed of a simple Corten or powdercoated steel plate softened by a cutout profile of a human hand. This cheerful, uninhibited bike rack is a happy addition to storage options for city cycles.
Humo is a sleek torpedo-shaped ash urn in stainless steel that deftly hides and extinguishes smoking materials. It is strong, has a very large capacity (4.5 liters), and is easy to maintain.
New options for existing products include arms for Bancal, a robust bench made of solid wood boards mounted on a steel plate structure; and arms for Nu, a bench with a solid wood-strip seat and back mounted on tubular legs set into round disc bases. The Key bike rack, with its cast aluminum base and steel loop frame finished in integral-colored high-density polyurethane foam, is now available in yellow as well as red and anthracite grey.

About Santa & Cole
Santa & Cole was founded in 1985 by Javier Nieto Santa and Gabriel Ordeig Cole to “edit” and bring to market exceptional designed objects and important books and monographs on design. In 1999 the company received Spain’s National Design Award. The jury cited Santa & Cole’s “business innovation based on the permanent collaboration with designers,” emphasizing its “excellent urban furniture and publications.” Santa & Cole takes an “editing” rather than manufacturing approach to design because its primary interest is in acting as mediator to select and make available the best products, objects and writing across a broad range of design. The company edits and distributes lighting products, interior and exterior furniture, kitchen furniture and cookers, urban elements, plant elements (large trees) and books and monographs. www.santacole.com.
