Landscape Forms Introduces Outdoor Power by Legrand
Game-changing solution for enabling outdoor connectivity advances Landscape Forms leadership in active outdoor environments

Kalamazoo, MI – June 15, 2016-
Landscape Forms, North America’s leading designer and manufacturer of high-design site furniture, accessories and advanced LED lighting, is pleased to introduce Outdoor Power, a family of mobile device charging stations that enable people to plug-in and recharge in the outdoor environments where they live, learn, work, care, play and travel. Business collaborator Legrand is a century-old world leader in power, lighting and data delivery services in Europe and North America whose innovative products such as its Wiremold® product line have made it a major player in office and commercial environments. Now Landscape Forms brings to market the company’s debut solution for supporting access to power in outdoor places.

“’Industry leadership’ means staying ahead of the curve,” says Landscape Forms President, Richard Heriford. “We believe that people today want outdoor spaces that are more participatory, and as spaces transform from static and iconic to evolving and activated user experience is the key to great design. This next chapter in creating great places brings a safe, affordable and reliable power source to outdoor spaces. And Outdoor Power is just the first step in ongoing Landscape Forms initiatives focused on meeting the challenges of a changing landscape and securing our industry leadership in innovative site furniture, LED lighting and power solutions.”

Kirt Martin, Landscape Forms VP of Design and Marketing, states, “Our research shows that power has become a destination in outdoor spaces. People want to stay connected wherever they are and now we’re excited to be able to bring power to people in the places where they live, learn, work, care, play and travel. Outdoor Power elements are groundbreaking products and Legrand shares Landscape Forms values of good design, quality manufacture and customer focus. It’s a great fit and the time is right.”

Outdoor Charging Stations support connectivity with three models: a 48.5” high Charging Station with LED Area Light; a 46.5” high Charging Station with Accent Light; and a 34” high Power Pedestal. All provide access to power in various configurations of GFCI and/or USB outlets. An unwired option is also available for both 2-gang and 3-gang units, which makes the unit ready for dedicated low voltage applications where power is not required. The unwired 3-gang unit can accommodate the accessory A/V-Communication Kit so customers can install both power and low voltage in one unit. Other available accessories include a transparent door, color-matched doors with locks, and side-mounted shelves for holding phones and other small devices while they are charging. All three models are offered in black, bronze and silver standard finishes and all are NEMA-3R-rated for use in all weather conditions. Outdoor Power provides access to permanent, reliable, grid-based power. It is a well-designed solution that smartly integrates with Landscape Forms site furniture and takes power to places it’s never been before.
